Hanging Twist Mobility
Many bodies are starved of rotation.
We walk forward.
Sit forward.
Look forward.
Rotation disappears — and tension becomes “normal.”
The hanging twist is a gentle way to reintroduce rotation without stretching aggressively.
How to do it (60–90 seconds)
– Feet planted, knees soft
– Hinge slightly forward
– Let arms hang heavy
– Twist gently right and left
– Keep the shoulders relaxed
– Move slowly, breathe out long
What to notice
– Where does your body feel restricted?
– Does it soften after 30 seconds?
– Can you reduce effort by 5%?
Make it safer
If you feel strain, reduce range and slow down.
This is not about “maxing out.”
Finish (10 seconds)
Stand tall.
Shoulders down.
One long exhale.
Slow and steady. 👣
